Oh, the nicest thing just happened on Idol! A girl got kicked off and all the other girls rallied around her as she sang her goodbye song. That was really cute.

Whats not so cute is what has been going on with me since last Wednesday. Remember how I said I wasn't feeling well? Well, after doctor appointments and time spent at lovely Des Peres Hospital, i'm happy to report I am feeling a little bit better. I had a 2 fold issue: The flu (which i'm just about over) and a bacterial infection in my throat and tonsils (similar to tonsilitis). I had to go to the hospital because my throat was closing up and I couldn't breathe or swallow. But, they gave me some great drugs that opened things right up.

Now when I swallow it just feels like there is a small rock in the back of my throat, instead of jagged shard of glass. And, I can talk a little above a whisper for short amounts of time. I get to take 1500mg of amoxicillian horse pills a day for the infection plus a special nose spray, cough syrup and good ol' Tylenol Flu & Cold. So thats about that. It could be worse.

Now for the happiest quote ever from Marion Cotillard after winning this year's Best Actress Oscar for La Vie en Rose: “It feels so good. I’m totally overwhelmed with joy and sparkles and fireworks and everything which goes like bom-bom-bom."

Because I'm all out and in two hours I'll ready need some. I woke up at 5:30 this morning because I was having a hard time breathing, my head was pounding and my nose was all plugged up. I got up, had 1 of my last 2 Theraflus and sat on my couch watching the last of Midnight Cowboy until I could go back to bed. :(

I had to stay home from work today, I've caught that flu thats going around the whole country. I've been using that Thermaflu stuff where you take a hot cup of water and stir in the packet. Sort of like hot coco only it tastes lemony and feels like sand going down. We also had a large ice storm go through today, and its supposed to start up again tomorrow. I went out earlier to scrap the ice off my car - I have to go to work tomorrow - and I didnt want three inches of ice on my car. But, halfway through, my ice scrapper cracked in half. Its not like I had a flimsy one either, but the ice was just so thick. So, I had to drive down to Walgreens, and they were out. So I went across the street to Shnucks and found one plus an ice melter for tomorrow morning.

So now, I am back on the couch. Talk to you all later.

Speaking of devil frogs, I really really don't want President Bush's last major act as President is to send troops to Cuba and force Democracy down the throat of that country.

I got a new piece of art, but I will have to post a picture of it tomorrow. My camera is All the Way Over There. It is an original oil of Paris in the Spring. More to come about that.

For those of you that watch Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, don't you think that Sarah is being awfully mean to Cameron? She is a good terminator sent back in time to protect your son! Be nicer to her, or she will terminate you like the devil frog.

The Internet is for Porn!

Went and saw Avenue Q at the Fox last night. I can truly say I had never seen puppet sex on stage before. In a movie yes - Team America, but not on stage with an audience of thousands. lol It was awesome. If it comes to your town, I highly recommend seeing it. And what they say is right, after a while you don't even see the puppetters (sp), just the puppets. It was a good night of theater.

As much as I love snow and freezing rain....I left work at 4:20 and didn't make it home till 6:17. It's those kind of drive homes that make me want to drive my car right into the tree.

Ack! When I went to bed last night NBC had declared Hillary Clinton the winner of Missouri. Now Obama won it 49% to 48%. Ugh.

I hope you all went out and voted. I drove through a drenching rain and ended up with soaked leather shoes and socks but I still made it! Of course, I vote a straight Democratic ticket and its cool to be a part of history and choose between a woman and a black man running for a Democratic presidency. And, I believe Hillary Clinton is going to take Missouri. I like to think it was my one vote...

I hate the New England Patriots. I don't really like the New York Giants. So, since NY won, i'm still happy. And yes, it was a terrible compilation of Super Bowl commercials. I don't plan on ever using Careerbuilder.com because of that totally gross commercial with the girl's heart bursting out of her chest. So gross.

Happy times

I am pleased to announce that after having $4,777. 63 worth of damage inflicted upon the back of my car by a kid that wasn't paying attention, it is now fixed and back with me. It is my consumer driven duty to tell you that the good people of Royal Gate Dodge Collision center did an awesome job.

I do wish I had my car yesterday since we had 10 inches of snow fall here. Its a lot of fun to plow through snow in a 4 wheel drive SUV! A compact Mazda, not so much. Which is why I had my Dad drive me in to work. Oh well, I still have the weekend.

Currently I am watching The Invasion. Totally lame. But I still like Daniel Craig.
